Born:

 George Lynn Elkins, age 43 of Oak Ridge passed away Monday August 11, 2008 at his residence. George was born March 26, 1965 in Oak Ridge to Richard and Mary G. Lindsay Elkins. He enjoyed listening to country music and all holidays that had candy involved with them. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mary Elkins, one sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Jimmy Johnson, and a brother-in-law James Parker.
George was survived by one sister Frances Parker and one brother and sister-in-law Billy Ray and Sandy Elkins all of Oak Ridge. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday August 14, 2008 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the service to follow at 8:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Steve McDonald officiating. Interment will be Friday August 15, 2008 at
10:00 AM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
