John Epps longtime resident of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday April 9, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge surrounded by his family. John retired from the United States Postal Service, as superintendent of mail, after 27 years of service. After retiring and working numerous other jobs you could always find him on the golf course. He is survived by his devoted wife Mary Epps, sons David and gene Epps and daughter-in-law Debbie Epps, grandchildren Michael and Becky Epps, Richard and Cindy Gallaher, great grandchildren Brooke, Jordan, and Zachary Gallaher. He was a member of Heritage Fellowship Church. The family held a private memorial service.
