Marie Odile Ricci Evans, age 85, of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday December 18, 2008 at National health Care Center of Oak Ridge.
Marie was born July 25, 1923 in Hammonton, NJ to the late Louie and Marie Ricci. She was married to Ernest C. Evans on December 5, 1942 and they moved to Oak Ridge in 1943 and were active members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Ernest who passed away in May of 2002, her son Edward E. Evans in August of 2002, and siblings John Ricci and Andre Ricci. She is survived by her sons; Thomas Evans of Venice, FL, Robert J. Evans and his wife Marina of Cary, NC, daughter-in-law Ginger Evans of Charlotte, NC, siblings; Louis Ricci of Hammonton, NJ, Chantal Holcombe of Hammonton, NJ, Claudette Ricci of Lancaster, PA, and James Ricci of Hammonton, NJ, grandchildren; Collyn Evans Fink and her husband Derrick, Emily Jo Evans Shields and her husband Kris, and Alexander Evans.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday December 23, 2008 10:30am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday December 23, 2008 9:30 to 10:30am at the church.
