 Grace, Helen Marie, age 86, of Oak Ridge, went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2008 at Summit View of Farragut. She was born to parents Jessie Mae (Wade) Seibert and Harris Seibert in Paducah, KY on November 8, 1921. Mrs. Grace was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Lighthouse of Oak Ridge since 1996. Robert Eugene Grace, Jr, is her pastor and grandson. She retired from Shoney’s Oak Ridge. She loved gospel singing, sewing and gardening. She volunteered for Oak Ridge senior center for several years where she loved to quilt with her lady friends. She attended Keystone adult day care for four years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Grace, Sr., her son, Robert Eugene Grace, and a sister Gladys Powers.
Helen loved the Lord and had great faith loved her children and family. Mrs. Grace is survived by her daughters and sons in law Donna and George Gardner of Oak Ridge, Phyllis and Don Bell of Shepherdsville, KY, sons and daughters in law Edward A. Jr. and Cynthia Grace of Gainesville, FL, Phillip and Kathy Grace of Seymour, IN, David and Elizabeth Grace of Pikeville, TN, Rev. Mike and Marsha Grace, pastor of Pentecostal Worship Center of Spring City, TN, three brothers, Harris Lee Seibert of Paducah, KY, Herbert and Louis Seibert, both of Hardy, AK. Helen has been blessed with 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. A special friend was Wilma McBroom of Oak Ridge.
The funeral will be Saturday August 23, 2008 @ 1:00 PM at the Calvary Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Rev. Harold Jaco, Rev. R.T. Bennett, and Rev. Eugene Grace officiating. Following the celebration of Helen’s life interment will follow at the Oliver Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday at the Church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers; please make a donation in Mrs. Grace’s name to Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt c/o Gift Processing VU Station B 357727 2301 Vanderbilt Place Nashville, TN 37235-7727.
