Louise P. Holsopple, age 84, of Oak Ridge passed away quietly in her sleep Wednesday July 1, 2009 at the Roane County Medical Center.

Mrs. Holsopple was born June 11, 1925 in Campbell County and moved to Oak Ridge in 1958. She was employed with Martin Marietta and was of the Presbyterian Faith. Louise loved growing roses and won many awards for her roses. She was a member of the Holston Rose Society, a Rosaria, and she enjoyed hiking and camping in the Smokies. She loved traveling the world with her husband Herman after their retirement, and collecting dolls and old oil lamps.

Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her son Mark Wayne Holsopple Louise is survived by her husband Herman Holsopple of Oak Ridge, son James Holsopple and his wife Susan of Oak Ridge, daughter Katye Aquilino and her husband Mike of Maryland, sister Carrie Brundick and her husband Marty of LaFollette, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday July 3, 2009 12:00pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with interment to follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
