Born:

James Lawrence Householder, age 81, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday October 1, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Mr. Householder was born March 30, 1927 in Seymour, Tennessee to the late Andrew and Ella Tarwater Householder. He was a veteran of the United States Army and moved to Oak Ridge in the early 1940’s where he was employed with Martin Marietta at Y-12 as an Inspection Supervisor. He was a member of the Oak Ridge Moose Lodge 1316 and enjoyed playing music on the piano and harmonica, U.T. Sports, Oak Ridge High School Football, gardening, and fishing.
Preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters he is survived by his wife of 60 years Doris Householder of Oak Ridge, two daughters and sons-in-law Sherry and Glen Jerrell of Clinton and Patricia and Tommy Miner of Oak Ridge, one sister Jewel Cutshaw of Seymour, four grandsons Jimmy Graham of Oliver Springs, David Jerrell of Clinton, Jeff Miner of Oak Ridge, and Tim Miner of Oak Ridge, and four great grandsons Isaac and Ethan Graham of Oliver Springs and Jaret and Brady Miner of Oak Ridge.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 4, 2008 1:00pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Schneider of officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
