Linda Kay Holt Pruden, age 66, of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday March 5, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Linda was born September 11, 1942 in Manchester, Tennessee to the late William Carden and Ethel Mable Holt. A member of Kern Memorial United Methodist Church Linda founded Tennessee Preneed Trust Specialists and worked with funeral homes across the state. Linda enjoyed cake decorating, cooking, golf, crafts, and was a seamstress. She was a member of The Oak Ridge Women’s Club, Jaycette’s, Ladies of the Elks, Oak Ridge Country Club, and Beta Sigma Phi.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Howard Holt.
Linda is survived by her daughter Kimberlyn Pruden, son and daughter-in-law Harry Thomas and Lisa Diane Pruden, grandsons Bradley Thomas Pruden and Christian Avery Pruden, sister and brother-in-law Janet and Jerry Ledsinger, sister-in-law Patsy Holt, Harry Barnes Pruden III, and Mary Pruden-Armstrong.
Graveside services were held Saturday March 7, 2009 2:00pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. James Bailes officiating. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to Kern Memorial United Methodist Church 451 E. Tennessee Ave. Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
