Gerilyn Marie Stoetzel, age 51, of Coalfield passed away
Saturday April 25, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family.
Geri was born May 21, 1957 in Knoxville to the late Frank and Elaine Groppe
Stoetzel. She was a member of the Middle Creek Baptist Church and was a 1975
graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Geri had been employed with East
Tennessee Pulmonary Associates of Oak Ridge for 27 years and was always
cheerful and caring of all of the patients. She had a passion for playing
softball and was a great 3rd baseman. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors,
babies, and spending time with her family.
Geri is preceded in death by her parents and three infant brothers. She is
survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brett and Valerie Ray of
Murfreesboro, TN, five brothers; Jim and Vickie Stoetzel of Oliver Springs,
David and Sara Stoetzel of Oak Ridge, Bob and Teresa Stoetzel of Woodbury,
TN, Dan Stoetzel and Dee Meloche of Knoxville, and Michael Stoetzel of
Murfreesboro, TN, four sisters; Kathy and Eric Reynolds of Oak Ridge,
Marlene and J.D. Mayton of Coalfield, Mary and Jeff Brooks of Knoxville, and
Judi and Phil Seeley of Jupiter, FL, and many nieces and nephews and special
friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 28, 2009 8:00pm at Middle Creek
Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with Rev. Ronald Guthrie officiating.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday April 29, 2009 11:00am at Oak
Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00
to 8:00pm at the church.
