Hilda Stuhlmiller, age 85, passed away Thursday January
22, 2009 at her home in Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Stuhlmiller was born September 12, 1923 in Horse Creek, Tennessee to
the late Crawford and Ina Williamson Copp. Hilda was a retired teacher from
the Oak Ridge Schools, a well known artist, member of the Oak Ridge art
Club, and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed watching the children she
taught grow into productive adults with high standards. She said her
greatest achievement was having her grown up students come to visit and
thank her for her inspiration.
Mrs. Stuhlmiller is survived by her son Roland C. Stuhlmiller and his fiancé
Melissa Pyle of Oak Ridge, daughter Susan L. Morris and her husband Bob of
Utah, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday January 30, 2009 7:00pm in the chapel
of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev Ed. Schneider officiating.
Graveside services will be held Saturday January 31, 2009 1:00pm at Oak
Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday January 30, 2009
5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
