 Edmundo Dante Valenzuela, Sr., age 70 of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday May 4, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center. Born May 12, 1937 in the Philippines to the late Nestorio and Francesca Valenzuela. He graduated form Rizal Memorial College with a degree in finance. He was a member of the Philippine American Association. Preceded in death by his wife Jeannette Valenzuela.
Mr. Valenzuela is survived by two sons Nestor Valenzuela of Sevierville and Edmundo D. Valenzuela, Jr. and wife Connie of Oak Ridge, one daughter Jean Pearl Merlan and husband Antonio of Bataan, Philippines, twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter Jada. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Eleanor DeGuzman which the family would like to say a special thanks to her and her family for the care that she gave to their father for several years.
The funeral will be Wednesday May 7, 2008 at 8:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Alliance Church 109 Raleigh Rd. Oak Ridge, TN with Rev. Dale Crank officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 at the church.
