Dorothy Carter, 93, died March 14, 2008 of natural causes.

Dorothy Alberta Carter was born Dorothy Alberta Taylor on March 19, 1915 in Wafford, KY. Dorothy married John Edwin Carter on June 7, 1935 and moved to Lenarue, KY. In 1952, John Carter and Dorothy moved to Oak Ridge, TN. where John Carter died in March 1985. Dorothy moved to Elberton, GA in August 2001 to live with her son, Harold Carter.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Harold Carter of Elberton, GA.; her sister, Etta Gibbons, of Kingston, TN.; brother, Leon Taylor and his wife Riva, of Stanton, MI.; brother, Frank Reynolds and his wife Joyce, of Indianapolis, IN.; sister Joan Whaley and her husband Chuck, of Huntsville, AL.; brother Joe Reynolds and his wife Darlene, of Columbus, GA.; step-grandson Ben Felosi and his wife Sandra and their children, Beth and Janet, of Winder, GA.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home at 1017 Oakridge Turnpike in Oak Ridge, TN. at 10:00A.M. Sunday March 16, 2008 and burial was at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park following the services.
