Charles Leon Collier, age 75 of Oak Ridge passed away
Tuesday December 4, 2007 peacefully at his residence. Born February 1, 1932
in Mississippi to the late Clarence N. Collier and Dora graham Collier. H
was a veteran of the US Army and a member or Glenwood Baptist Church. He was
the past president of the Oak Ridge Jaycee’s. He was the owner of the Shell
gas station at Jefferson Ave. and also worked for Clinton Oil Co. He was a
salesman for Free Service Tire Company and enjoyed meeting new people and
working with his customers. He was an avid pet lover taken in strays all of
the time his family said. He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Mary
Collier. Mr. Collier was survived by his son Kenny Collier and his wife
Marie of Oak Ridge, daughters; Connie Collier of Oak Ridge, Sherri Kitchens
and husband Greg of Florida, and Karen Porter of Oak Ridge. Four
grandchildren; Jason Watson and wife Mindy, Brandon Collier, Kelley Collier
and Amanda Kitchens. One great-granddaughter Meah Watson. |
