Mary Ellen Douglas, age 86 of Oak Ridge passed away Monday December 10, 2007 at NHC Oak Ridge. Mrs. Douglas was born June 2, 1921 in Nashville, TN to the late Robin C. and Dovie Scott Williams. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary was preceded in death by her husband James Douglas and one brother Ray Williams. Mrs. Douglas is survived by her daughters Elaine Sliger and husband Don of Oak Ridge and Theresa Reisinger and husband LeRoy of Oak Ridge. Three sisters Bobbie Brown of Mount Juliet, TN, Betty Cantrell and husband Dave of Nashville, TN, and Faye Williams of Mount Juliet, TN also survive her. She has three grandchildren Gary Byers and wife Amy, Robin James and Husband Mike, Mike Byers and wife Kathy, Three great-grandchildren Cameron James, Haley James, and Morgan Byers also survive her. The family will receive friends from 1-4 Tuesday at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Memorial Park and it will be private.
