Evelyn "Doris" Freels Krueger, of Dearborn, MI Passed
away Friday January 25, 2008 at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn,MI following a
brief illness.
Born in St. Charles, VA to Clarence Emmanuel and Ethel Rosenbalm Freels both
now deceased.
Doris accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Taylor Church
of God. She served the church in many capacities as Ladies president, youth
ministry and other areas. She was a legal secretary and retired from
Approved Aircraft. She graduated from St. Charles High School. Besides her
parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Sam E. Isom, Sr., two
infant brothers Charles Homer and William Glen Freels, and also by one
brother and sister-in-law James and Nellie Freels and one sister and
brother-in-law Helen and Mel Larkin and by a brother-in-law Rev. Robert D.
King, Sr.
Doris was survived by her beloved husband of 18 years Eugene “Buzz” Krueger,
her loving children Sam E. Isom, Jr., Ellen Fuson and husband Jack, Karen
and Kevin Luckey, Jim Isom and wife Connie, Herb Isom and wife Dawna, Lynda
Bleser and husband Michael, Janet Isom, step-children Christie Locy and
husband John, Robert Krueger and wife Darlene, and Catherine Warner. She was
also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, two
brothers Willard Freels and wife Doris Ann, Kermit Freels and wife Dolores
as well as one sister Shirley King and several nieces and nephews including
Joseph King and wife Barbara and Glen S. King, Sr. and wife Sandy.
The funeral will be Thursday January 31, 2008 at 8:00 PM in the chapel of
Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Robert D. King, Jr officiating.
Interment will be Friday February 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Lee Memorial Gardens
in Pennington Gap, VA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday at
the funeral home. The family will also receive friends Friday from
12:30-1:30 at Provience Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA.
