Born:

Richard O. Martin, age 76, former Petoskey, MI resident who had relocated to Clinton, TN in 2004 passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at home under the care of Hospice, his wife Roberta and daughter Julie. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jane B. Martin.
While living in Petoskey Mr. Martin was a frequent patron of J.W. Filmore and the Big Boy restaurants where he lived by his philosophy that “you’re only a stranger once”, as his many friends and acquaintances will attest. After moving to Tennessee he and his wife Roberta liked to meet with their friends and the employees at the Oak Ridge K-mart, CVS pharmacy and elsewhere where his always ready sense of humor was greatly appreciated.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife Roberta, his daughter Julie Grey and her husband J.R., all of Clinton, TN., daughter Mary Machan and husband Lee of Elizabethtown, PA, daughter Marsha Schopf of Mountville, PA, son Don Robbins and wife Gloria of Remus, MI, and son Rod Robbins and wife Kris of Harbor Springs, MI.
No formal service will be held at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
