Dorothy Lucille McWright, age 88, of Oak Ridge passed
away Monday July 9, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Mrs. McWright was born December 20, 1918 in Harriman to the late Elmer and
Rose Dickey Weaver. A member of the West Village Christian Church Mrs.
Weaver had been employed at Y-12 as a laboratory technician until her
retirement. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and was a member of the Eastern
Star chapter 390 here in Oak Ridge.
Preceded in death by her first husband Woodrow Litton, son Gary W. Litton
and her brother Sam E. Hope. Mrs. McWright is survived by her husband Cullen
P. McWright of Oak Ridge, son Douglas L. Litton of Marshville, North
Carolina, step daughters; Mary Jane Williams of Oak Ridge and Barbara Pruitt
of Newark, Delaware, brothers; Charles J. Hope of Oak Ridge and B.F. Hope,
Jr. of Harriman, sisters; Mildred Eitel of West Palm Beach, Florida,
Virginia Graham of Jacksonville, Florida, Clara J. Wilcoxin of Evansville,
Indiana, and Betty Floyd of Oak Ridge, grandchildren; Kim, Brad, and Kristy,
and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 11, 2007 6:00pm at the West
Village Christian Church with Rev Brian Lakin officiating. The family will
receive friends prior to the service at the church from 5:00 to 6:00pm.
Private interment services will be held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
