Born:

 Samuel Dooley Rea, age 80 of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday March 27, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Rea was born November 27, 1927 in Newport, TN to the late Silas and Chlora Wilson Rea. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oak Ridge. Mr. Rea was a retired Senior Engineer Draftsman with the Y-12 plant for Lockheed-Martin. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife Ruby including; Hawaii, California, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Ireland and the Netherlands. He enjoyed trout fishing in the Smokies with his son and grandson. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Titans Fan. Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; joy Knight, Dorothy Greer, and Rella Radar.
Mr. Rea is survived by his wife Ruby Sargent Rea, son Lt. Col Robert S. Rea, US Marine Corps (ret.), daughter Nanette E. King, two sisters; Polly Williams of Midlothian, VA, and Rowena Bush of Indianapolis, IN, one grandchild Robert S. Rea, Jr.
Services will be Saturday April 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Kerra English officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 at the funeral home.
