Cynthia Jean Koch Schenley, age 67, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday August 10, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Schenley was born April 23, 1940 in Charleston, West Virginia to George and Laura Vivian Craig Koch. Cynthia received her degree in Microbiology from West Virginia University and moved to Oak Ridge 39 years ago. She was employed at ORAU at the time of her retirement. A wonderful wife, mother, and friend Cynthia was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Schenley is survived by her husband Robert Schenley, daughters Michelle Virginia Schenley and Suzanne Vivian Schenley Barger, mother Laura Vivian Craig Koch, and sister Joyce Preece.
A memorial service will be held Monday August 13, 2007 7:30pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. James Morris officiating. Interment will be in Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 7:30pm at the funeral home.
