Born:

Claude Denning “Denny” Tipton, Jr., age 57, passed away Saturday February 16, 2008 at the Roane County Medical Center.
A native of Blount County he had been a resident of the Harriman Care and Rehab Center for several years. He was preceded in death by his father Claude D. Tipton, Sr.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Michael and Susan Tipton of Kingsport and Jason Tipton of Maryville, two precious granddaughters Kayla and Kasey Tipton of Kingsport, mother Bertha Wright of Oliver Springs,, two brothers and sisters-in-law; G. W. and Wanda Tipton of Maryville and Dillard and Beverly Tipton of Cleveland, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Bonnie and Rick Morrow and Marie and Gary Rose, all of Kingston, several nieces and nephews, and the mother of his sons Janice Mohr of Maryville.
The family will receive friends Monday February 18, 2008 6:00 to 8:00pm at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 8:00pm with Pastor Robert May and Rev. Waylon Payne officiating. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa at 1:00pm on Tuesday February 19, 2008.
