Alan David Watkins age 50, of Oak Ridge passed away Sunday August 19, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Watkins was born August 29, 1956 in South Bend, IN. He was a competitive body builder and won several awards in competition including Mr. Knoxville in the late 80’s. Mr. Watkins was survived by his parents Clarence and Helen North Watkins of Oak Ridge, two brothers Daryel I. Watkins of Dresden, TN and William Keith Watkins of Oak Ridge, two sisters; Diane Marie Watkins Brown and husband Douglas of Claxton, TN and Mary Ann Watkins Davidson and husband Ben of Oak Ridge, one niece Angela Brown, one nephew Brennen D. Watkins, one great-niece Emily Ann Watkins. The funeral will be Wednesday August 22, 2007 at 8:00 in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Akers officiating. The interment will be Thursday at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
