Peggy Helen Whitson, age 65, went home to be with the Lord Monday October 22, 2007.
Peggy was born February 15, 1942 in Bakersville, NC. She was a member of Solway Baptist Church and an avid Bible reader. She also loved working cross word puzzles and was a long time school bus driver for the city of Oak Ridge Schools. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her mother Ethel Kennedy. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John Whitson, SR., daughter Pam Currier and her husband Bob, sons; John Whitson, Jr. and Daniel Whitson and wife Antonette. Grandchildren; Bobby Currier and wife Barbara, Sandy Currier, Josh Whitson, Christina Whitson, Brennan Whitson. Great-grandchildren; Adrianna King, brothers and sister Rocky, Danny, Tony and Kim. The funeral will be Wednesday October 24, 2007 at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Buchanan officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
