Born:

Vernon “DJ” Wilhelmson, age 37 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday October 20, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his family. DJ was born July 15, 1970 in Covina, CA to Vernon and Patricia Wilhelmson of California by whom he is survived.
He worked for Simplex Grinnell as a construction manager for 10 years. He enjoyed golfing and being with his friends and family. DJ is survived by his wife Tara, son Nicholas James, daughters Ashley Nicole and Megan Marie. A special loving aunt and uncle Jan and Gary Wilhelmson of Crestline, CA, special cousin and wife GJ and Michelle Wilhelmson of Lake Arrowhead, CA, father and mother-in-law George and Judith Anderson of Knoxville, sister-in-law and husband Bridgette and Jose Martinez of Norwalk, CA, sister-in-law and husband Cynthia and Larry Annunziata of Oak Ridge, sister-in-law Jennifer Anderson of Knoxville, nieces and nephews Sarah, Christina, Andrew, Matthew of California, Jessica, Erica, Sophia, Olivia and Michel of Oak Ridge. DJ had many good friends and co-workers also.
The funeral will be Monday October 22, 2007 at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the American Cancer Society 871 N. Weisgarber Rd. Knoxville, TN 37909.
