Violet Daniel Wright, age 92 of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday July 28, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Wright was born September 25, 1914 in Piedmont, MO to John and Eliza Ann Anderson Daniel who are now deceased. She was a member of the Kern Memorial United Methodist church and was retired from Union Carbide Y-12 as a Calutron Operator. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She also was a member of the Eastern Star. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Owen Emery Wright and a son John Owen Wright and by one brother and one sister.
Survivors include two sons; James Charles Wright and wife Susan of Knoxville and Bill Wright and wife Linda of Oak Ridge, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday July 31 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bailes officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11:00am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Tuesday at the funeral home.
